Just a Taste: Spadina Freehouse

The Freehouse is located on Spadina right beside the Sheraton Cavalier.

This is a very fun place to go out to eat. There are live DJ's, live shows, artwork around the restaurant and a "happening" patio. Servers enjoy themselves and provide great service too. I will mention though that this place is often busy, they take reservations majority of the days too.

The Freehouse has many appetizers, an impressive drink menu, sandwiches, burgers, pizzas and entrees. I believe most meals sit between $10-$25.

I've eaten here in the past and I really enjoy their appetizers and pizzas. The amount of choices always seems to stump me and I had troubles making a decision. This time I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with the help of Aashna and Jae. The flavour of the barbecue sauce was delicious on the tender pork and soft bun. The spinach was a nice touch to the sandwich, I don't re-call ever having that on a pulled pork sandwich. I also added some raw onions too to spice things up a bit.

My company had various items such as the Freehouse burger, open faced steak sandwich, spicy chicken pizza and jerk chicken. Everyone was very pleased with their meal portions and taste.

The food is awesome, the music is awesome, the service is awesome and the vibe is awesome.Check them out for lunch or supper this Summer followed by a walk along the river with some ice cream from the Bus Stop!
