Now Playing: St. Vincent - Strange Mercy

I have two categories of music. Music I like listening to when I'm in amped up mode or when I'm out and music I like listening to when I'm at home.

St. Vincent falls in the home category.

Anybody can yammer on about dance music with complete strangers. But the day I find somebody where I can swoon to about St. Vincent, will be the day. Not sure what though, but it will be significant.

Her third release, Strange Mercy has been out for about a year now, and I've been listening to it non-stop since March. It's one of those CDs that I have to listen to at least once a day.

Prior to that was Owen Pallett's Heartland, but that's for another time.

Cruel, off of Strange Mercy, was the song that got me head over heels for her.

The rest is just awe.

Moral of the story is, St. Vincent is to me, what One Direction is to tweens.
