Just a Taste: The Underground Cafe

The Underground Cafe is located on 20th Street just a block west of The Roxy Theatre.  I've wanted to visit there for quite a while but since they are closed on Mondays, my success has been limited until today.  The Underground is a deceivingly large coffee shop with lots of seating and great coffee and teas.  I didn't try any of their lunch options but they offer paninis and soups as well as a selection of desserts.  If you're looking for a place to study for those last few finals, stop by The Underground for a delicious hot drink in a great atmosphere.

Connected to the cafe is Beaumont Records; two businesses sharing the same space.  They have a very interesting selection of old and new artists from a variety of genres.  CD's, cassettes, and t-shirts are all for sale but the appeal of Beaumont is the many racks of vinyl.  I personally don't have a record player anymore but after seeing this selection, I wish I did!  Definitely worth a visit.

  3. The Underground Cafe would definitely be a good spot for tourists to hang out after a long day. Coffee and great music combination, plus the ambiance will lure them back in. It'll be an experience they'll never forget.

  4. Unique idea on the cafe. This has a different feel from others making it a must try. The only question is the menu, on how it fair to others.

  5. Most wine were stored underground cause it poses improvement to the overall taste of it. I'm just quite not sure if, whether it also has the same effect with the coffee and tea.

  6. The owner exerted a lot of effort in putting up this kind of concept and design in this cafe. Well, it's all rewarded cause, I've been hearing and reading a lot of positive feed backs about it.

  7. I also want to visit the Underground Café; the place looks cozy and the perfect place to read a good book with a cup of coffee. This kind of place is the setting that I want to achieve in our house, to have a cool and cozy place for tea and coffee.
