adidas Skateboarding | Silas in Tokyo

Cool skating, cool scenery, cool obstacles and a potentially broken jaw (2:25).

adidas Football | Lionel Messi Collection

Four time FIFA player of the world Lionel Messi unveils a collection that will be available to the public. It sucks that these were released right after Barcelona's loss to AC Milan but the collection is nice regardless. I am a big fan on the boots which have the new Messi branding. Recently, I have had an urge to try the adidas F50 adiZero due to friends speaking very highly of the footwear. The collection is available March 1, 2013.

Cliche x adidas - Lucas Puig Pro Model

After seeing Lucas Puig's new pro model on Hypebeast, I found out that we would be receiving these at Momentum Marketplace too. The graphic is very simple but I love it. There is a black model with a size 8 width and this blue one which is 8.1. I don't collect boards but only skate them, otherwise I would have definitely copped both of them. I gripped it tonight and got to skate it for about an hour. So far, so good! The concave isn't as deep as my last board but I am able to land many of the basic flip tricks still. If you want one too, you can get them at both Momentum's here in the city or possibly online!

adidas Predator LZ

Soccer Cleats 101: Lethal Zones

  1. First Touch is magnetic. The ball can’t resist its grip. Kill the ball with one move and kill them with the next.
  2. Drive is a sledgehammer. Take a swing and nail that explosive long pass.
  3. Dribble is voodoo. Leave a trail of spellbound defenders behind.
  4. Pass is a skeleton key, opening any defense with speed and precision.
  5. Sweet Spot is a sniper who can curve a bullet. Take aim, fire and wait for the crowds to explode.
I really like what adidas has done here with the use of research and their drive for innovation. The idea of having pros discover "lethal zones" and creating a boot to accompany their styles is wonderful. adidas has always cared about contributing to the game as well as the athletes. Although I really like this boot, I am sad at what the Predator line has become. Until the day I try these first hand, I do not believe that a microfiber material can replace a kangaroo leather. Rebranding is sometimes very important, but the Predator has heritage and I feel like this boot is going in the same direction as all of their other new products. I specifically mean that lightweight seems to be adidas main purpose or advantage over other soccer companies.

My final verdict is that these are cool and look fun, but that I don't believe that these should be part of the Predator line.

adidas Busenitz "Blusenitz"

This is my favourite Busenitz colour way so far. Not only is it Dennis Busenitz's model but it is designed after one of adidas most iconic soccer boots, the Copa Mundial. The (optional) tongue makes the shoe unique and stylish and the colour is perfect for summer. I've never owned a pair personally, but I only hear good things about them.

Ransom by Adidas- "Exploring Panama"

Ransom Holding Co. and Adidas always take advantage of nature and different habitats when making their look books. This video was shot entirely in Panama. It makes it fun to watch, while still getting a taste of what their collection is all about. For example, we get to see the models utilize the "Pier" on the beach and the "Army Trainer Mid" in the forest. This video displays the Spring and Summer 2012 collection.

Arrival

My Adidas x Ransom "The Summit" came in yesterday morning. I am ready to wear these all winter and lay my other sneakers to rest until summer. I am glad to get these so soon, considering that they were just ordered Friday. The boot is great, nice laces, upper materials, grip and color way (black/olive/brown). The only thing that I would have liked to seen is metal buckles rather than plastic ones. Here's a photo of the new addition to my collection (I really need to get a camera to replace my BB Cam):

Wishlist

For some reason I have been indecisive on the Adidas x Ransom "The Summit". My biggest worry at the moment is judging Adidas sizing. It is tough to say whether I am a size 8.5 or 9, but I will take the gamble with the 8.5. I haven't worn boots since the 4th grade and clearly I need something to keep my feet dry in winter. So yesterday I was offered to share an order with a friend also interested in The Summit and came to a decision that I am going to try and get them. The order has not been put in quite yet and now I am waiting to see if there is sizing available.
Winter is here!

Little skate project

I have four shoes I've been skating lately: Adidas Gazelle, Nike SB Blazer, Vans Chukka and Adidas Campus Vulc. The plan is to give everyone a breakdown of the positives and negatives to skating each. I am excited to both write about the shoes and to skate each one. Don't expect this to happen until the rain leaves Saskatoon.

Today

Today started off well, watching South Africa and Mexico. Although South Africa did not win, it was a good game and I know there will be a lot more good games to come. Mike then came over and we discussed our new Hello Saskatoon project, all I have to say is get ready!

After I had lunch plans with Aashna,I was super excited. When I went to start my car, my battery died. Which was pretty sad because I had to spend money, not only that was disappointing but that I didn't get to do lunch with my darling!

After lunch I went out and sold some shirts with Mike, went to St. John's music for guitar strings and once again tried ordering Busenitz. I was super pissed because there were zero sizes in any colour ways. So instead Tyler Abrahamson and I ordered black and white Adidas Campus Vulcs. After we went skating at Kinsmen and the local church for a flatground session.

Supper at Denny's was so filling, I still feel sick haha. Dallas and I then went for a flatground skate behind Mo, working on flip tricks and consistency.

Ending the night with Tim Horton's with Aashna, today ended up being a good day.

Adidas Busenitz

My Chukka lows that my parents had gotten for me in Vegas have been so wild, the feel is unreal. But that being said, the durabiity is not it's finest characteristic. In search of a new shoe I have been looking at the Adidas Busenitz. A shoe modeled after the Copa Mundial cleat (soccer).

The plan was to get on the spring order and get a pair of the black/yellow/gum soled pair. Adidas has cancelled our order.

Being optimistic, I decided that I could special order and was willing to pay for the light maroon color way. After speaking to customer service they had told me no shoes my size were remaining.

Major diss, I need some Busenitz.

Ransom x Adidas Valley Lows

One of my homies has got me feeling like a steez biter haha. Really he's made realize that I appreciate other styles. Originally I had been looking at the Valley highs but this look is more suitable for me. Let me know what you think: White or Black?
