Air Jordan 1 | Black Toe
This sneaker will bring back memories for athletes and sneakerheads alike. This Saturday, the "Black Toe" Jordan 1 will be for sale at select retailers. This model hasn't been seen since the "Old Love/New Love" pack which offered a mid-top version of this sneaker. Sitting around $140 makes it a much better price than the $2,500 1985 version!

Air Jordan V | Grapes
This Saturday (May 5, 2013), the Grape V's will release in select Saskatoon retailers. These came just in time for Spring and will make a nice Summer shoe but an even better street ball shoe at your neighbourhood court. The Jordan V is my favourite from the collection of the 23 options and this colour always stands out, not to mention the icey sole. Your best bet is Foot Locker and Momentum.

Nike SB | Eric Koston 2 "The Legend Grows"
Eric Koston's second pro-model shoe is releasing soon and they created a fun and entertaining commercial to introduce it. Many of Nike's stars are featured in this short such as Sean Malto, Paul Rodriguez, Tiger Woods, Neymar and Allyson Felix.

Air Jordan III | Retro '88
Tomorrow morning the Air Jordan III will hit a couple of stores in the city. The US already had this release last month and it was a huge success for the Jordan brand which leads us to the Canadian drop. The shoes will be priced more than most pairs for the main reason that the "Nike Air" sits on the heel rather than the Jumpman, this hasn't been done since 1988 (hence the name). Through blogs and websites, I will tell you that many people are not planning on sleeping on these, I assume that there will at least be a few people waiting at midnight Saturday in the cold. Momentum on 8th Street will be receiving these and possibly Foot Locker in Midtown Plaza as well. Best of luck!

Air Jordan IV | Black/Cement
This is a highly anticipated drop in the sneaker community. This year marks the 23rd anniversary of the Jordan IV. The upper is nubuck and mesh to stay breathable with a classic Nike Air unit. These are set to release on November 23, 2012 (Black Friday) at locations including Foot Locker and Momentum. I think that this shoe offers a great look in fashion at a hefty $200.This time around, I definitely think people will camp outside stores in the city.

Air Jordan IX | Olive
The Jordan IX Olive releases tomorrow (November 17, 2012). From what I hear, they are a great ball shoe and the Jordan IX has been a favourite among the street wear community. They can be found at locations like Footlocker and Momentum. You can expect these shoes to be around $200 retail.

Supreme x Nike Air Force 1
Supreme and Nike collaborate again to make an Air Force 1. I have personally never worn a pair because of the silhouette but I think that these are all a success. Not just because of the Supreme logo that can be found on the red tag or tongue. They have used an upper that is practical in the military. They are meant to be durable, water-resistant and look good.
The Air Force 1 will release on the Supreme website this Thursday.

Nike SB | Koston x Heritage
The highly awaited Koston have finally arrived to Saskatoon. This shoe is a fusion between the Eric Koston One and the Air Max 90 that was designed by Tinker Hatfield. The colour way is known as Black/Volt (536058-003). If you don't already know, Koston is a sneaker head. He has been collecting SB's, Jordan's and Air Maxes for a long time now.
You can see the heavy influence of the AM90 from the rubber tabs, eyelets and stitching. The Koston is known for being a seamless skate shoe, so this is a big change (it may not stretch as much). I managed to try them on and not only does it look aesthetically different but feels different too, it almost feels like there is more ankle support. On the other hand, this model still takes advantage of the Lunarlon insole and will an identical board feel to the Koston.
As far as I know, these can only be found at Momentum Marketplace.

Air Jordan VII "Raptors" Retro
The Jordan VII Raptors are set to release on September 1, 2012. That means this Saturday you can grab a pair if choose to do so. They get their name from the Toronto Raptors' team colours. I would really like a pair to beat up this Fall and Winter. You will probably be able to purchase these at Foot Locker and Momentum on 8th Street.

Pick Ups: Nike Air Max Safari "Great Britain"
I purchased these at the Darkside Initiative in San Francisco. I find that these run quite narrow but I will fight through the pain to break them in nicely. The leather insole is a nice change. I am really excited over the look and colour, I plan on using these as one of my everyday sneakers. You can also purchase this in a burgundy colour way.

Nike SB Dunk Low x Supreme
New photos of the anniversary Dunk have been released. These will go on sale in-store and online on Thursday, followed by Friday in Japan. This is going to be a tough one to get. As per usual there is a limited quantity and people are already camped outside of Supreme stores. I would really like to get a size 8.5 if someone else also wants to wake up and try to buy these for me.

Marketplace Update
With items flowing out of our Marketplace, we will have another addition. This is the Nike SB Dunk Low "Money Cat". The money cat symbolizes luck, you may even call this sneaker the lucky cat. This pair was released back in 2007 and was actually one of two of the first Nike SB's to be sold at Momentum Marketplace. There are a couple of marks that can be easily cleaned, very little creasing and as far as I can tell there is no heel drag. These come with the original box and the second set of laces.
I figured this shoe would bring luck to someone considering that tomorrow is Friday the 13th.
For more information and other finds, visit the Marketplace.

First Wear: Air Jordan "Military Blue" IV
This shoe was my first Jordan purchase in a while and I am very happy about it. The colourway is perfect for summer. These look good with almost anything, straight legged pants, slim pants or almost any pair of shorts. If you missed out on these there will be another Jordan IV release next month and in November.

DC Teak
I recently won a pair of these from Momentum in a Battle of the Berrics contest. We all made predictions of who would advance from each round and received points for doing so. Because my picks managed to get me in second place, I got a pair of these DC Teak's.
I skated in them one for one night, and was very impressed with the comfort and style. Most shoes don't fit me fresh out of the box but these sure did. I like the camel coloured suede because it goes well with the moccasin style toe box and leather laces. For me that vulcanized sole or vulc-like sole is a must too. I haven't bought a pair of DC's for almost seven years too but I notice that they still use their classic tread pattern for grip. I can still pop decent ollies, land kick flips and be comfortable at the same time so I am quite happy with this model.
