Air Jordan V | Laney

The Jordan V "Laney" (136027-189) has been on a lot of  sneaker enthusiast's calendars since the rumour of its release. Thankfully it is true, the Laney will drop November 2, 2013. Releasing only once before, the colours and name come from Michael Jordan's high school Emsley A. Laney High School. This white tumbled leather upper sits on top of a blue and yellow midsole. Damn these look clean! You will be able to find these at Foot Locker and Momentum.

I've been with the Playstation since the beginning so this commercial hit home for me. Like the advertisement, I spent my years of university playing PS2 and PS3 whenever I had the chance. That was a successful commercial in my opinion, even more reason for me to be persuaded to buy a PS4.

Air Jordan V | 3Lab5

The "3Lab5" Jordan V has finally reached its way to Canada ( 599581-007). I imagine that you have seen this on the internet or some sort of social media outlet. The Jordan brand decided to take the elephant print from the Jordan III and give to the V for this special project. The entire upper is an elephant print and is combined with a black and gamma blue midsole. No doubt that it's crazy but it may be worth you getting your hands on them to have a one of a kind shoe. The American release had a quick turnover for many retailers, and Ebay with a bunch of $350 shoes up for grabs.

The North Face: "Into The Mind" | October 24

On October 24 at Village Guitar & Amp Co. (432 20th St W) there will be a showing of The North Face's "Into the Mind" documentary. Into The Mind is a documentary that focuses on The North Face’s athletes. It gives the viewer an understanding of taking risks from their perspectives. Team sports are quite different than individual sports, and having less experience in that department encourages me to learn more. The visuals in the trailer itself are crazy (peep it in full screen). Tickets cost $12 and can be purchased at Momentum 8th, Momentum Marketplace and Outtabounds. If there are any tickets remaining, they will be sold at the door for $15.

Red Bull Thre3Style | DJ Charly Hustle

After winning regional competitions, eight DJs competed in Calgary to see who would advance to the Red Bull Thre3Style World Finals to represent Canada. Our man Charly Hustle had won our regional Thre3Style and had the opportunity to battle some of the best of Canada. Based on the photos, it seems like he had the crowd going wild!
