Lovecoast | Help You

Keep an eye out for Lovecoast! This Vancouver native band describes their style as indie R&B/soul pop group. This young band certainly reaches to the past for nostalgic vibes and you can hear it in their music. Lovecoast made CBC's Searchlight Regional Top 10 list and even shared the stage with our good friends in Close Talker.

The band will be coming to Saskatoon for their first time on May 18 at Capitol Music Club.

Drew Tofin | One Night Album

Drew Tofin is dropping his album One Night on February 3, 2015. I was lucky enough to get an early listen and damn was it good! If you don't know Drew personally, this guy is very talented coming from a family of musicians and having an appreciation of all genres. His album has a collection of 11 songs. It has a smooth and jazzy feel featuring his own rendition of songs by Fleetwood Mac, Barry White, Robbie Williams, Elvis and more.

I personally loved the raw live sound that the album had. His clear cut voice is strong and holds my attention from the start to the finish. My favourite songs had to be Say You Love Me (Ft. Denise Valle), Angels and I'll Always be Right There. These are songs I remember listening to as a child, my parents used to play the cassette tapes in the old family vehicle. Grab an album and stay tuned for his next show, this man is a true performer! I'm excited to see what Drew has cooking up for us next.

You can purchase your own album on February 3rd at drewtofin.com

Shad at Amigos | November 23, 2013

This Saturday, Canadian rapper Shad will return to Amigo's to perform another show. You may be thinking that he was here recently with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis but just the other month his album Flying Colours released, hence the tour. For a measly $18, I highly recommend that you come out. This dude seriously knows how to perform. Tickets should still be available online.

Now Playing: Rich Kidd

I can't tell you much about Rich Kidd, except for that he is from Toronto. I have heard his name numerous times but after browsing social media, came across some of his tracks. He is an artist and producer and is generating a large amount of fame in the city of Toronto. Rich Kidd has an album releasing soon but in the meantime here are some tracks that I enjoyed.

Eminem Ft. Kendrick Lamar | Love Game

NSFW

A fun beat and a mixture of flows makes this song easily liked. It is nice to finally hear Em rap with Kendrick, both equally blessing the track. It is sort of like an old school meets new school situation under Dre. Eminem's full album drops on November 5. What are your thoughts?

Red Bull Thre3Style | DJ Charly Hustle

After winning regional competitions, eight DJs competed in Calgary to see who would advance to the Red Bull Thre3Style World Finals to represent Canada. Our man Charly Hustle had won our regional Thre3Style and had the opportunity to battle some of the best of Canada. Based on the photos, it seems like he had the crowd going wild! Photo credit goes to Dale Tidy.
