The Inside: California/Mexico

I am so hyped for a couple of my buddies from Calgary (Levi Switzer and Colin Tubb), who are putting together this skate trip. They are going to be taking a bus full of 55 youth down through LA and into Mexico. They'll be hitting up a few key skate spots, but also working with an initiative called 'Homes of Hope' through an organization called YWAM.

Depending on how much money they can raise before they leave, they will be building houses for people in Mexico who can't afford their own.

Check out this sick promo video...

Calgary

I am very excited! Tonight I picked up some tickets for Calgary. I have never traveled anywhere by myself except to meet my family for my brother's soccer nationals in Winnipeg. I have a lot of family in Calgary but it will be more independent. The plans will be potential snowboarding, doing some shopping downtown at places like Livestock and Holt Renfrew and spend time with grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles.

It's a lifestyle,

Calgary trip

So on the eighteenth of this month I am heading to Calgary with some of my family because I have a lot of relatives there. The plan is to visit all of my family and hopefully see my good friend Ryan Contenti that I used to play soccer with. I will do a bit of shopping at Group Seven and Livestock in search of a Reigning Champ zip up hoodie.

If I sell my Civic soon, I will also be able to pick up the Nissan Maxima. I don't want to get my hopes up too high but I really do want that vehicle. Another huge plan for the trip is to go and see Drake at the Big Four building on July 25. Aashna will be flying up that day to come see it with me. I am very excited for that, should be a lot of fun. Other than that Chinese dinners every night and hanging out with friends and family. Calgary is always a fun trip.
