MTV Comics

Through Twitter I had found some old MTV comics called "Sex is no accident". Funny little comics, but to be taken more seriously. Remember, you don't want to have any baby mamas at a young age.

The Legend's League

Toronto's Bryan Espiritu has been grinding hard for his own company called "Ideall". Being linked to those at Livestock, I believe he has been given a lot of good influence. When introducing his brand I remember him making a thread in the upcoming brands Hypebeast, where everyone gave him a lot of love. Now he has delivered to the public a trailer. This is really what the idea of the post is about, I love the simplicity of the trailer. We have conversed about how look books and trailers are great ways of showing the consumer of what you have to offer. I just wish I had come up with an idea such as this, this is inspiration for the future.

Skating

Dallas and I have been talking about how snowboarding season is coming to an end, but not to worry because the streets should be clear soon. With the sun out drying up a lot of snow, all we have to do is brush rocks off of little paved areas. My driveway is already snow and pebble free! In the meantime, we try and skate the Center Mall underground parking every now and then. We get sessions lasting from five to 45 minutes, but it's worth it just to get some board feel and hang out with friends.

I am sure everyone is anticipating summer, being school free and enjoying nice weather.

Saskatoon Wildlife

It's scary that deer sometimes run wild in my neighborhood (this was just outside of the city though).

Drew Tofin Band

This past Friday, I attended the Drew Tofin Band at the Bassment. I have known Drew since elementary school and he had always shown interest in being a musician. I remember his family's large collection of instruments and his older brothers playing as I was much younger. Hearing him play as other genres, jazz music was a nice change. They performed a great show, soulful vocals and excellent solos from the musicians. As well as there were laughs being shared by everyone, Drew brought out his comedic personality.

It was also my first time being at the Bassment. It's located on 23rd and 4th downtown. It was a bit difficult to find, seeings that the entrance was at the side of a building with very little advertising. As you enter, there is a bar with reasonable priced beverages and food. As the pictures below show, the lighting was pretty dim with stage lights. It wasn't too big, but there was enough seating for all of the viewers, along with a dance floor being used by all ages. No matter how much you love music or what genre you prefer to listen to, everyone will enjoy and appreciate the performance.

Laptop

Dallas and I just got home from a group meeting, but both of us forgot to bring iPods. Fortunately, my laptop could act as a substitute.

Reigning Champ

Reigning Champ is a company based out of Vancouver, Canada. It is a house brand affiliated with Wings + Horns, underneath of CYC Design Corporation. CYC is in charge of the production of some Supreme and Alife goods just to name a few brands. Reigning Champ is well known for producing simple, minimal branding and high quality products. I personally like it because of the cuts and use of materials, whether it's a thin fleece for summer evenings or a polar tech sweater used for layering in the winter. I am proud to say that Momentum on 8th street is now carrying one of my favorite brands.
