Much Music VJ Search | VOTE for DT

Much Music is hosting a VJ Search, David Thomson (Saskatoon local, now living in Toronto) has stepped up to the plate. If you don't know DT, he is the perfect fit for the job.

3 reasons why I think you should VOTE for him...

#1. He is a talented filmmaker, and this is right up his alley.
#2. It's DT. David Thomson is the man. DUH.
#3. He taught me the stutter step when we were playing basketball once. True Story.

Take a look at his video submission below, and then scroll down to VOTE.

VOTE for David Thomson, so a good guy will finish in first for once, and I will have a reason to watch Much Music again.

*Did you notice the corporate sponsor is Fructis... very fitting. Look at that flow.

SIGN THE PETITION | Help Skateboarding in Canada

I recently read this article about how Nova Scotia laws are putting skateboarders on the back burner. With this law in place, Skateboarders aren't allowed to skateboard on sidewalks anywhere (not even on their own street) and you aren't allowed to skateboard without a helmet anywhere in the city. With a total of three fines, Skateboarders are being turned away from car insurance (to remind you - for skateboarding on a sidewalk or without a helmet).

We are very fortunate with what we have for skateboarding in Saskatoon, let's prevent this law from going in a trickle effect from east to west. Let's help Canadian Skateboarding.

Please take time to read the article on CBC, and sign the petition to help our friends out east.

SKATEBOARDING IS NOT A CRIME.

SIGN THE PETITION - HERE.

*To clear any mislead ideas, I fully support wearing a helmet. Everyone should wear a helmet, you only have one brain. The idea of singling out Skateboarding, and Skateboarders as a whole bothers me. SKATE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

The Informants

I recently came across across this blog on twitter from a few people that I follow. The Informants is a website that focuses on fashion, music and lifestyle within Canada. It's a blog presenting the latest music that they are into as well as some goodies and where to find them. If you maneuver around on the webpage you will notice that they display the Canadian stores that carry The Hundreds, G-Shock, 10 Deep, Alife and Huf (including Momentum).
